Teller Jobs in Hawaii

A Teller serves as the front line of customer service in the banking industry, directly interacting with clients and performing a wide range of tasks. Important skills for a Teller include strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in basic computer applications and banking software. In terms of certifications, while not mandatory, obtaining a Certified Bank Teller (CBT) certification from the American Bankers Association can enhance job prospects. Prior to becoming a Teller, a person may have held roles such as a Customer Service Representative in retail or call centers, a Cashier in supermarkets or similar establishments, or a Sales Associate in various industries, where they would have developed the necessary customer service and cash handling skills.
