Purpose and Job Summary:
Lument is seeking a Post-Closing Senior Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for ensuring loan files are properly audited, delivered, and sold in compliance with investor and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
This role plays a critical part in reviewing final loan documents, submitting and tracking loan deliveries, and ensuring accurate reporting. The Post-Closing Associate will gain experience with various financing programs, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and proprietary commercial real estate loan products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review final loan documents and other required documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and submit delivery packages using Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae delivery systems
  • Complete and submit ASAP 1st Funding deliveries in Fannie Maes C&D system
  • Review ASRs, Underwriting Workbooks, and Form 4662 to complete C&D submissions and upload documents to DUS DocWay
  • Track delivery status in a shared departmental checklist

Coordinate with legal counsel and warehouse lenders to facilitate timely document submission

  • Communicate delivery timelines to counsel upon closing
  • Work closely with Agencies (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) to address delivery issues and test system enhancements
  • Monitor delivery performance reports and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Ensure all final documents are stored appropriately in Luments proprietary document management system (MIDAS)
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Underwriting, Closing, Legal) and external counsel to collect and organize all required documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned

Travel Requirements - Minimal

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments and to meet critical and established deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions. Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment.

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or other related fields from an accredited college/university.
  • 1-2 Years of experience (commercial real estate or post-closing experience a plus).

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Commercial Real Estate.
  • Experience with Agency delivery requirements (Fannie Mae and FRE systems strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate lending documents.
