Key Responsibilities of a Home Health Aide:

Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).

Basic Medical Care: Monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, and assisting with mobility.

Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and cleaning.

Meal Preparation: Preparing and serving meals, and assisting with dietary needs.

Transportation: Accompanying clients to medical appointments and other outings.

Companionship: Providing emotional support and engaging in social activities with clients.

Documentation: Recording observations, vital signs, and services provided.

Communication: Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean home environment for clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent .

Previous experience in healthcare or childcare may be beneficial . .

Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills .

Compassion, patience, and the ability to work independently .
