Position Summary: Provide positive, memorable customer experiences while accurately performing teller duties and account opening duties. These responsibilities include cashing checks, receiving deposits, opening and maintaining retail and business accounts, and processing other transactions as authorized and within policy. A Customer Service Associate promotes banking products and services and directs customers to appropriate team members for specialized services. May assist with administrative consumer loan responsibilities as needed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and exceptional customer service, cross-marketing products and services to acquire, retain and expand relationships.
- Be a positive and effective team player by helping others on the team achieve success.
- Recognize and promote customer referrals to appropriate team members.
- Receives and processes deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and other transactions in an accurate manner, according to established policies and procedures.
- Process night deposit and mail deposits according to established policies and procedures and maintain necessary logs.
- Issue Cashier's Checks & Money Orders and maintain necessary logs.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of cash received, cash disbursed, and negotiable instruments involved in the processing of various transactions.
- Process ATM Settlement.
- May act as vault custodian.
- Performs nightly balancing of cash drawer, identifies, and corrects out of balance errors according to policy and procedures.
- Assures completion of all reports, reconcilements, and proper handling of vault cash.
- Ensure and promote personal ownership for the resolution of customer requests.
- Process Branch Capture and assist in completing branch settlement according to procedures.
- Open New personal retail accounts as required, according to policy and procedures.
- Order and maintenance Debit and ATM cards as needed.
- May provide teller overrides when necessary.
- Open New Retail and Business Accounts as required, according to policy and procedures.
- Recognize and Identify the appropriate documents needed for account opening (business and personal).
- Assist with account opening verification for other Presence Bank Associates.
- Provide loan administrative duties for the retail managers as needed. Administrative duties include: organizing, scanning, filing and submitting VIP tickets.
- Responsible for all basic cleaning in office building.
- Support the Presence Bank Leadership Model.
- Performs additional responsibilities and duties as required.
Administrative/Compliance:
- Assure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and other regulatory policies as required by the responsibilities of this position.
- Understands and follows procedures in case of robbery or another emergency.
- Assures efficient operation and adherence to security, audit, and control procedures.
- Performs additional responsibilities and duties as required.
Knowledge/Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor's or Associates degree beneficial but not a mandatory requirement.
o Prior experience includes customer service, sales, and cash handling experience and proficiency with understanding and opening new accounts for retail (personal and business) customers required.
- Ability to operate basic office machines including calculator, copy and fax machines. Computer experience and knowledge of the Windows operating system is required. Ability to communicate with customers and other associates is essential.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have the ability to remain stationary, move, position self, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of 10-15 pounds, occasionally more. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment (fax, phone, scanner, computer, copy machine, counting machine, ATM, security system) and read information. The employee frequently is required to remain stationary, reach, and communicate.
