Summary:

The SBA Franchise Development Officer Senior is responsible for managing the existing Franchise Relationships, as the franchise relationships are approximately $25-$50MM in size and the position will be tasked on the growth of the relationship as tracked by velocity codes. This position is also a development role, and the individuals will need to determine the top 100 franchise brands in the country and call on the appropriate people for SBA loan volume.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports Business Banking production by maintaining a franchise volume by brand.
  • Researching and developing streamline loan processes by brand so the SBA Franchise Specialists can work directly with the customers in a fast environment.
  • Appropriately assess risk profile of borrower.
  • Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family. Tasks included are training, administrative tasks and supporting the brand/franchise loan process, as well as maintain tracking by brand of productivity.
  • Manage weekly or biweekly meetings with the vendor.
  • Follow up on volume in and out of the credit loan center, handling customer issues and vendor issues as it relates to the SBA loans and creating reporting by brand for the tracking of volume and referral fees.
  • Development role and the individuals will need to determine the top 100 franchise brands in the country and call on the appropriate people for SBA loan volume. This could include travel to the vendor, presenting SBA loan options, educating franchisees at conferences and discover days.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 + years of Franchise Business Development or experience building franchise relationships

  • Ability to travel as it is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior SBA business development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources
  • Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality

Compensation Range:

$70,000.00 -$140,000.00 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
