The Receptionist/Teller is primarily responsible for answering incoming phone calls at the branch, greeting and providing courteous, professional service to walk-in customers, cross-selling bank products and services, resolving problems, and serving as a back-up to tellers by running customer transactions. This position promotes business for Nicolet by maintaining a high level of customer service and by referring customers to appropriate staff where necessary.

As a Receptionist/Teller, you will:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and redirect call to the proper department, handling many incoming customer inquiries yourself.
  • Greet and assist customers and visitors with questions and make them comfortable while waiting for appointments.
  • Order branch supplies and sort and distribute daily mail.
  • Provide administrative support to the business partners in the office by scanning, copying, and providing other admin support as requested.
  • Perform teller duties and balance cash daily to maintain accurate transactions. Identify payees and verify signatures and endorsements.
  • Attract and retain customer relationships by providing accurate and timely customer service including, but not limited to, cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, handling loan payments, issuing cashier's checks, etc.
  • Stay current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures and practices to prevent fraud or other bank losses and to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote bank by identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate products and services to solidify and enhance customer relationships. Recommend corrective services to resolve customer complaints.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years cash handling experience
