Senior Project Manager Regulatory & Compliance Technology Projects

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep experience leading technology-related regulatory and compliance projects within complex enterprise environments. This role is pivotal in supporting initiatives that enhance governance, address audit findings, close control gaps, and ensure compliance with industry regulations such as SOX, Dodd-Frank, and other risk frameworks. This is a contract to hire job requiring 3-4 days a week onsite.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in both IT project management and regulatory compliance, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is passionate about driving delivery with clarity, accountability, and high quality. Strong communication, leadership, and the ability to get things done with a positive, proactive approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory and business-sponsored IT projects.

Drive remediation efforts tied to audit findings, risk controls, and compliance initiatives.

Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and resources across full delivery lifecycle.

Partner with compliance, audit, legal, risk, and technology teams to define and execute project scope and requirements.

Provide clear, concise reporting to executive leadership; maintain documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, risk reduction, and automation in compliance workflows.

Foster a collaborative, accountable, results-driven team environment.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of project management experience in a technology organization.

2+ years of experience managing regulatory or compliance-related projects.

Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare.

Must-Have Skills:

Expertise managing projects involving SOX compliance, audit remediation, or risk frameworks.

Strong working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., ADO, JIRA, Microsoft Project).

Strong interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented, highly organized, and excels at managing competing priorities.

Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high stakeholder satisfaction.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience working in a financial services or other highly regulated environment.

Familiarity with control frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT.

Background in infrastructure project delivery is a plus.

Scrum Master certification or experience is a plus.
