The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest senior budget analyst on the Fiscal Administration team, working at our Central Office in beautiful downtown Columbus.

We're looking for a savvy number-cruncher who's proficient with various spreadsheet and data management software to complete complex analysis, reporting, and forecasting of the agency's financials. In addition to performing general accounting tasks like journal entries, billings, cash draws, transfers, and revenue deposits, you'll perform specific roles in our accounts receivable system and research historical transactions.
For grants, you'll create and submit federal financial reports and analyze awards to determine implementation requirements meet grant requirements and agency fiscal policy. You'll respond to customer inquiries from the Ohio EPA eBusiness Center and participate in annual audits and in preparing data for the agency's biennial budget process.
Outside of the fiscal administration team, you'll collaborate with other agency divisions, state agencies, stakeholders, and customers. You'll manage receipts for agency fee collection and calculate financial penalties for violators of environmental laws and regulations.

4 yrs. experience in budgeting that included fiscal management & control involving use of quantitative/statistical analysis (e.g., probability statistics, linear regression, multiple variable regression, computer assisted regression analysis models, trend analysis, forecasting cost benefit analysis).
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, public finance, public administration or business administration; 24 mos. exp. in fiscal management & control involving use of quantitative/statistical analysis (e.g., probability statistics, linear regression, multiple variable regression, computer assisted regression analysis models, trend analysis, forecasting cost benefit analysis).
- Or completion of graduate core program in accounting, public finance, public administration or business administration; 12 mos. exp. in fiscal management & control involving use of quantitative/statistical analysis (e.g., probability statistics, linear regression, multiple variable regression, computer regression analysis models, trend analysis, forecasting cost benefit analysis).
- Or 12 mos. exp. as Budget Analyst, 63261.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
