Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of Ref Experts and HVAC LLC, ensuring accuracy, control, forecasting, and strategic insight across budgeting, reporting, and expense management.

This leader will be responsible for building and enforcing departmental budgets, approving expenses, developing financial projections, managing vendor accounts, and maintaining key relationships with the companys external CPA and financial partners.

The Finance Manager will also provide oversight to the AR/AP Manager and contribute to improving financial systems, forecasting future trends, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership:

Lead the finance function, providing oversight and support to the AR/AP Manager

Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Leadership Team

Own the accuracy and strategic alignment of financial reports, forecasts, and planning

Manage the companys relationship with external CPA and accounting partners

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

Build and maintain departmental budgets across the company

Create short- and long-term financial projections based on revenue, expenses, and operational goals

Deliver cash flow forecasts to support strategic decisions

3. Expense and Payment Oversight:

Review and approve company expenses and expenditures

Oversee credit card programs, vendor account management, and approval workflows

Ensure proper classification and reconciliation oversight through AR/AP team

4. Accounting Oversight and Tax Coordination:

Manage the relationship with the external accounting firm responsible for bookkeeping and reconciliations

Collaborate with the CPA on monthly closes, annual filings, financial audits, and strategic financial planning

Ensure AR/AP team provides accurate vendor and transaction details to the accountant when clarification is needed

Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation for sales tax, franchise tax, and audits

5. Financial Optimization:

Identify opportunities to reduce costs, streamline workflows, and improve financial efficiency

Monitor and analyze key financial KPIs to inform leadership decisions

Recommend tools, reports, or systems to enhance financial clarity and operations

6. Payroll and HR Finance (Oversight Level):

Partner with HR to ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions (TriNet)

Oversee employee advance tracking, tool loans, and benefit deductions

Qualifications:

Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.

Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.

Ability to develop financial models and projections to aid business decision-making.

Collaborative and solution-oriented team player.

Prior experience managing financial operations for a growing multi-department organization is a plus.
