Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate: $20.28 - $25.36 (commensurate with experience)

Location: Strathroy region, travel required (mileage provided)

The Role

The primary function of this role is to exceed the expectations of members by providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service and advice. Able to provide a range of services to members including responding to inquiries, analyzing needs, and assisting members to utilize the products or services which best meet those needs. This role is responsible for processing member transactions, updating accounts, looking for opportunities to uncover additional needs, and provide members the required information they require to resolve any issues they may be experiencing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively taking the time to understand our member’s needs, and providing prompt, courteous advice, and service with the goal of exceeding our member expectations.
  • Effective use of our Contact Relationship Management (CRM) tool in support of the Advice-Based Model to recognize opportunities and make referrals to our advice staff.
  • Provide members the information they require to make informed decisions about their transactional needs.
  • Accurately process all member transactions to ensure consistently balancing and taking the time to promote alternative methods for members to self-serve where appropriate.
  • Process MasterCard applications and identify opportunities for overdraft protection.
  • Maintain appropriate cash limits and adhere to other risk management issues in accordance with credit union policy standards.
  • Manage member concerns in a courteous, professional manner, and escalate where necessary.
  • Actively support team, branch and credit union vision and mission with a positive and helpful attitude toward all team members
  • Assist with other duties such as ATM balancing, night deposit, wire transfers, balancing of cheques and other end of day processes etc., as required.
  • Taking the time to understand the products and services available to members.
  • Post investment/lending transactions
  • May be assigned to monitor and maintain treasury and ATM, ensuring cash on hand is adequate and within branch limits.
  • May be required to fill in for other appropriate roles in the branch during temporary absences such as vacation.
  • Provide assistance as required with various reports, checking and scanning of documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
