- Commercial Finance Partnering: Acts as the primary finance business partner for Costco & Walmart account teams, ensuring alignment on commercial plans, annual operating plans (AOP), and quarterly forecasting.
- Trade Spend Management: Governs trade spend for their specific accounts, enforcing funding principles, tracking ROI targets, and optimizing pre & post promotions ROI.
- Performance Analysis: Monitors sales performance versus plan, investigating variances in volume, mix, pricing, and trade rates to recommend corrective actions.
- Profitability Optimization: Delivers actionable insights on customer and product profitability, including analyzing deductions, post-audits, and cost-to-serve.
- Reporting & Modeling: Develops financial models for pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and new customer opportunities.
Experience: Min. 4 years in financial planning, commercial finance, or sales finance, with specific CPG experience.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business or Finance required; MBA or certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint and ERP systems (SAP, SAP Analytics) and BI tools.
Competencies: Strong communication skills to influence sales partners, analytical mindset, and ability to manage complex trade spend structures. Strong ability to analyze data, build financial models, and create reports in tools like Power BI or Tableau. Proven experience leading or mentoring junior analysts, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
