Are you ready to start your career in business lending and treasury management? Addition Financial Credit Union is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Business Bankers. This role offers comprehensive training in sales, relationship management, business underwriting, treasury management, and operations. You will develop the skills to help businesses succeed by building strong relationships and offering tailored financial solutions. No prior experience as a Business Banker is requiredjust bring your banking knowledge, passion for sales, excitement for learning, and commitment to excellent service!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with business members to understand their financial goals and challenges.
Serve as the primary point of contact for business banking needs and inquiries.
Manage an assigned portfolio of business members, ensuring their satisfaction and success.
2. Loan Origination and Support
Learn to analyze financial statements and credit reports to assess creditworthiness.
Assist in structuring loan proposals and collaborate with underwriting teams.
Gain hands-on experience in loan origination.
3. Treasury Management
Develop a strong understanding of treasury management services, including cashflow optimization, payment solutions, and fraud prevention tools.
Educate members on treasury management products and how they can support their business operations.
Work with the treasury management team to onboard new members and implement treasury solutions tailored to their needs.
Collaborate with members to identify opportunities for process improvement through treasury products and services.
4. Product Knowledge and Education
Acquire in-depth knowledge of business banking products, including loans, treasury, and deposit services.
Educate members on available financial solutions and their benefits.
5. Compliance and Risk Awareness
Understand credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in risk assessment processes and maintain a focus on compliance.
6. Sales and Business Development
Identify potential business opportunities through networking and referrals.
Learn to collaborate with various departments to enhance member experience and identify cross-selling opportunities.
7. Exceptional Customer Service
Provide outstanding service throughout the lending and treasury process, ensuring member satisfaction.
Follow up with members post-loan and treasury solution implementation to build trust and encourage long-term relationships.
8. Adaptability and Growth
Embrace training and development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills.
Adapt to evolving job responsibilities to meet the needs of the credit union and its members.
Training and Development Program:
As a Junior Business Banker, you will complete a structured training program designed to provide the foundation for your success. Training will focus on:
Sales techniques and relationship management.
Business credit underwriting and risk assessment.
Treasury management, including cash flow analysis and operational efficiency.
Operational processes and compliance standards.
Product knowledge and solutions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
