Budget Analyst - Region 5 Location: Columbus, OH 43219 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Hours per week: 40 hours Projected Start Date: 08/09/2025 Contract Duration: 12 Months Posting Title: Columbus, OH - Non-Medical - FCCS - N/A - Budget Analyst - Region 5 Job Summary: Franklin County Children Services is seeking a Data Entry Operator to support budget and administrative functions at their Region 5 location. While this role is titled as a Budget Analyst, the core duties focus heavily on data entry, clerical support, and light analytical tasks. This is a full-time, in-office position, with the potential for up to two remote workdays per week after sufficient training and demonstrated competency. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage repetitive clerical tasks. The role involves data processing, proofreading, record keeping, and working with both paper and electronic documentation in a fast-paced government setting. Key Responsibilities: Enter coded data into systems using various data entry equipment Prepare and transfer data onto pre-printed forms for scanning Proofread, file, distribute, and mail output documents Maintain logs and clerical records related to data processing Operate peripheral equipment such as scanners and printers Required Qualifications: Proficiency in basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Typing experience (minimum 1 course or 3 months) Ability to accurately read and copy figures Strong proofreading and error recognition skills Ability to operate data entry equipment for extended periods Comfortable working in a repetitive task environment with low-level background noise Preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail and time management Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with administrative data entry in a government or office setting Working Conditions: May involve evening or night shifts Extended periods of computer and equipment use Exposure to constant, low-level noise typical in data entry environments
