The Dispute Resolution Specialist assists with court ordered cases for the Domestic and Juvenile Court dispute resolution programs. Provides updates to the Court during the dispute resolution processes. Drafts clear, comprehensible, and precise agreements that reflect parties' mutual understanding and comply with court standards. Maintains accurate and complete case information by using established databases and collection methods; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions. Provides information regarding the various dispute resolution programs as requested. Conducts daily office tasks including answering telephone inquiries, calling parties to schedule appointments and file keeping.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitates mediation and other dispute resolution sessions in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, and support issues.

2. Analyzes case files, court documents, and party information to assess the nature of disputes.

3. Drafts clear and legally sound summaries of agreement and submits timely reports to the Court.

4. Processes and prepares case file for Dispute Resolution to include but not limited to, initiating scheduling calls, written/verbal notifications to all parties involved, eFile outcomes, data entry, interpreter request, intake/assessments, and other necessary documents.

5. Maintains accurate and complete case information by using established databases and collection methods; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions.

6. Participates in regular meetings with department supervisor, department staff, and court personnel to review policies and procedures for programs.

7. Responds to inquiries about Dispute Resolution and provide necessary referrals to other community programs.

8. Remains informed of current dispute resolution best practices, laws, and policies.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.
