Description

Summary

Responsible for the processing and preparation of monies for casino operations. Responsible for accurate handling of all monies and accountable for items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for maintaining security and accountability of cash, chips, coin, and other negotiable instruments in excess of several million dollars.

Provides constant flow of cash, chips, and coin to the Specialty Banks and to all cage cashiers.

Must have above average money handling skills.

Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance books.

Responsible for maintaining and reconciling ticket kiosks and ATM's.

Verifies and coordinates the transfer of all receivables from Soft Count.

Monitors cash needs of the property for operating purposes in order to make recommendations to a supervisor and orders from the bank accordingly.

Process, with accuracy, customer transactions received by all medians.

Held accountable, to high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of department records and reports.

Acts as liaison to accounting by auditing and forwarding all cash-out tickets and all paperwork such as cage accountability, issue sheets, end shift reports, variance reports, W2G's, copies of checks, etc.

Records cage variances and reports to appropriate authority.

Assists in preparation of currency/coin shipments.

Receive money from banking institution.

Provides assistance in the training and orientation of new cashiers.

Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.

Communicates with Cage Shift Supervisor and peers effectively concerning daily operations

Maintains an orderly and positive work environment.

Attends all company related training.

Maintains continued knowledge of current policies and procedures related to emergency response procedures.

Must adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations including, but not limited to, Title 31 cash transactions, suspicious activity reporting, customer identification requirements, and informational reporting (W2-G, 1099, and 1042-S) regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred and at least one year cage operation experience and/or training in a high volume cash operation required. Must have knowledge of cashier window and specialty window procedures. Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties. Must be self-motivated, detail orientated and able to work successfully without a lot of supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
