IT Asset Management Analyst

Location: Columbus, OH

Contract: 6 months with possible extension

Schedule: M-F (1st Shift) | 100% Onsite

Compensation: $2428/hour with optional benefits/PTO

Job Summary:

The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for maintaining and updating the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. This role involves procuring, decommissioning, managing, and tracking IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the optimization of asset utilization. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in asset management.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Assist in the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of assets.
  • Analyze asset data to identify trends, optimize asset utilization, and support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of asset management processes and records.
  • Coordinate with vendors for asset procurement, maintenance, and support.
  • Provide support to users regarding asset-related inquiries and issues.
  • Execute low-value purchases of IT assets.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team for higher-value purchases, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Generate reports on asset management metrics and performance for stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving asset management processes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in IT asset management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic understanding of IT asset management principles and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
