The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor processes mortgage loan files and prepares them for underwriting approval. Provides an exceptional internal & external customer experience and sales support as necessary. This role serves as a senior member of the loan processing team and will assist with mentoring and training other loan processors.Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews Rate Lock Confirmation and file to determine whether file meets the product guidelines.On more complex files, reviews documentation to anticipate any questions or concerns underwriting may have. Communicates to the Partner Bank requesting the additional documentation.Reviews Mavent to ensure file is compliant with all regulatory requirements.Runs AUS findings to determine file is saleable to the agencies.Submits to Underwriting for conditional loan approval.Reviews the conditional approval, obtain all non-borrower conditions. Review all borrower and non-borrower conditions to determine they satisfy the requirements.Stays current on legal and regulatory changes.Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.Other duties as required.RequirementsQualifications and Skills:5-7 years of experience in mortgage lending working on complex scenarios is required.Extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience with working with agency guidelines, lending laws, and regulations required.2+ years coaching and/or leading others.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.Proficiency working in lending systems including Encompass, Cleartouch, OnBase, various government and investor software/web portals is preferred.
