First American will always strive to be a great place to work, for all.What We DoWhat You'll DoService mortgage accounts to ensure all Default activities are processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency, and company guidelinesConduct a complete review of files to ensure all default timeframes have been met to include underwriting, if applicableManage default proceedings on assigned cases by interacting and instructing various parties such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and any other party involved with defaultMonitor activities by reviewing all proceedings, records, and timeframes in addition to working all system/database activities throughout the default processDiligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partnersAudit accounts for expense compliance and ensure proper application to system of recordPerform required research on loans with questionable items such as the application of payments, proper notification, and any other situation that may ariseDiligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partnersManage exception reporting used as key controls for minimizing riskFollow departmental and business policies with strict adherenceTasks may be more complex in nature and may involve evaluation and judgmentNo formal supervisory responsibility but is resource to less experienced team membersWorks under general supervision applying well established techniques, procedures or specific standardsPrioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partnersWhat You'll BringHigh School diploma or equivalent3+ years of directly related experienceWorking knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of department/fieldGood verbal and written communication skillsExtreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and proceduresGSE and Government experience preferredMSP and LoanSphere experience preferredWorking knowledge of computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook experience preferredSalary Range: $20.70 - $27.60 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
