Software Developer

For a direct marketing firm (Mystic Stamp Company, Inc. - Camden, NY): analyze, design, develop, code, implement, and document software and application solutions including maintenance and/or upgrade of existing systems and development of new systems and related applications; consult and work with management, users and Information Technology Department colleagues to analyze and define system needs; design system solutions; develop, test and implement software; maintain existing software; develop and write computer programs to classify, index, input, store, locate and retrieve specific documents, data, and information; analyze, review and alter company's computer programs and related modules; design and build proof-of-concept applications based on business requirements; develop and write custom scripts to automate routine jobs and monitoring requirements and build custom interfaces; develop and execute complex test plans for software functionality, integrity and security; design computer terminal screen displays to meet user interface requirements; write instructions to describe installation and operating procedures; develop and prepare technical documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections; assist users with solving operating problems and with user training as required.Requirements:Master of Science or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer. The required experience must include implementation of the software development lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, system architecture design, iterative development, coding, deployment strategies and documentation of application solutions.
