Providessupport to all retail and Treasury Management functions, therefore mustmaintain a reasonable working knowledge of all operational functions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServicing the credit needs of customer and prospecting requiring plantvisits; obtaining financial and other information; performing orcoordinating credit analysis; making loan presentation and recommendingapproval to Bank Loan Committee where required; and negotiating terms andconditions such as rates, collateral, guarantees, loan agreements, andother documentation.Applying ongoing administration and review of the credit until ultimatecollection, including ongoing monitoring and grading of credit.Detecting potential problems and applying techniques of problem loanadministration.Although Loan Committee review may be required prior to approval of certainloans, a high degree of reliance is placed on the judgment of the loanofficer. Regardless of the need for committee approval, the loan officer isfully responsible for the loan.Responsible for daily management of a commercial loan portfolio,including, but not limited to, credit quality; compliance with thebank's policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; andmanagement of past due loan status. Overall portfolio may include consumercredIn conjunction with Community Bank Presidents, may provide oversight andguidance to both commercial and consumer banking officers.Acting as relationship manager for assigned customers, ensuring customersatisfaction and the resolution of service problems for all bank products.Expanding customer base through networking and sales calling. Soliciting thebusiness of non-borrowing customers as well as loan customers. Maintainingproduct knowledge to generate credit, deposit, and fee business.Participating in community involvement activities to enhance Bank'svisibility, image, and reputation.Delivering the quality of service as defined by department standards.This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act(BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance withother banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to thepositMaintains a working knowledge of all retail and treasury management bankingfunctions. Provides support as needed to these functions, includingtransaction and exception approvals o include all deposits, wires,temporary limit increases, etc.Makes referrals to Financial Services department for clients seekinginvestment options not provided by the Bank.Maintains confidentiality and delivers quality of service as defined bydepartment standards.Supports the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.Other duties may be assigned.Education and/or ExperienceBanking Officer IV6+ years of loan origination, underwriting or portfolio managementexperience, or an equivalent combination of general banking experience andaccounting/finance/business college classes successfully completed.Proven expertise in customer development and business sourcing.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.
