General Summary:
Credit Administrator, responsible for overseeing the bank's lending function, including implementation of the credit policy of the bank. Helps to formulate bank-wide policies and procedures which enable the Bank to reach its goals of profitability and safety and soundness. Communicates directly with President to achieve the above goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary:
1. Loan Function:
a. Is responsible for development and implementation of the Bank Credit Policy.
b. Directly and indirectly supervises, trains, and assist lending officers of the bank
in all areas of the lending function.
c. Serves on the Bank's Executive Officers Loan Committee
d. Manages the Bank Credit Risk Assessment program
e. Manage and assist lenders with large problem asset resolution
f. Conduct bank delinquency control meeting.
g. Prepare and assure the adequacy of the Bank Loan Loss Reserve
h. Manage the Bank's Officer Call Program
2. Promotes Jeff Davis Bank and Trust Company in the community
a. Participates in community affairs to increase theBank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
b. Maintains an awareness of economic conditions and planned developments within his/her service area that could affect the overall profitability.
3. Undertakes special projects as assigned by the President.
Education and/or Experience:
College degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related area with ten years lending experience with management training and bank related courses
Basic Qualifications:
1. College degree with ten years lending experience with management training and bankrelated courses.
2. Five years of experience at operating a personal computer including Micro Soft and Excel software.
Scheduling:
Work schedule for a Credit Administrator will vary. Regular attendance is required Monday through Friday. Schedule may require representing the company after hours at related functions, customer calls or training.
Other Qualifications:
1. Possess a high level of analytical skills to assess and evaluate the operation of subordinate areas of responsibility, participates in establishing financial goals,analyzes new products, reviews legal opinions, monitors economic conditions and draftsoperational reports to the Board of Directors.
