To accomplish these results you will engage in the following activities on a regular basis: Learn how to execute our consultative sales technique, which will result in a high closing ratio. Handle inbound calls from pre-screened leads, consulting with potential borrowers about their financing needs, quoting rates when appropriate, qualifying leads and taking applications from qualified prospects. Maintain knowledge of our processing, underwriting and closing policies and procedures. Interface professionally with these departments to generate loan fundings that are of marketable quality. Accurately maintain information about prospects in our leads database. Deliver complete loan applications to processing. Manage your application pipeline, which includes (in cooperation with our processing staff,) working with applicants from application through closing. Maintain current knowledge of products, guidelines and pertinent regulations. Meet continuing education requirements to maintain licensing. QUALIFICATIONS You must have at least two years of mortgage experience. Must be NMLS licensed or be prepared to get your license within 30 days of hire. Recent experience with loan processing software such as Encompass or Calyx. Comprehensive understanding of Fannie and Freddie guidelines as well as FHA and VA experience. Comprehensive understanding of RESPA, ECOA, TIL, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and sales skills. Be a solid team player. Be able to work in our East Bay office. COMPENSATION This is a full-time, W-2, commission-only position. We offer a modest draw against commissions.
